It's beautiful and a quaint place to see the various craft and craft traditions of north-east India. They have a good assorted collection of baskets, fabrics, books, furnishing, preserves and souvenirs. The items are priced reasonably for the effort put in for making the intricate work. They kept the store open past 7PM for me to shop. I would have liked that the staff knew a little bit more about the craft practices and people to enrich and make the experience educational. Kudos to the teams for building a much needed space.
A gem in Guwahati! Showcasing the authentic indigenous crafts of the North East. Each piece has a story to tell- and the staff tells it so nicely- while taking excellent care of you. They also make jams, preserves and spices native to the region. A must-visit on your trip to Guwahati!

Fostering innovative approach within Community-Based-Organization (CBO) framework, provides us with a valuable entry point to rural communities and enables us to effectively implement changes at the grassroots for indigenous communities in the North East Region.
Maati is working in all the Seven States of Northeast Region focusing into Agri-Horti sector along with Handloom & Handicraft . Spreading up to a 3000 sqft food processing industry In Guwahati and two Community livelihood generating Stores Guwahati & Kaziranga .
